Booking and payment
A deposit secures each person's place on a course. Each person's balance is due 7 days before the course starts. Bookings made within 7 days of the start date are payable in full at the time of booking.
If you cancel
- More than 28 days before the course: full refund of everything you've paid.
- Within 28 days of the course: your deposit is kept, and any balance you've paid is refunded.
- If you don't attend without letting us know: no refund.
Instead of cancelling, you can transfer your booking to a later course (see below).
You're welcome to send someone in your place at no cost. Just let us know their name before the course starts.
If we cancel
Courses need a minimum of 4 students. If a course doesn't reach that number, or we have to cancel for any other reason, you can choose a full refund of everything you've paid or a free transfer to a later course. If weather forces us to reschedule practical sessions, the new dates will be offered to you first. If you can't make them, you'll get a refund for the affected sessions.
Transfers to a later course
One transfer is free if requested at least 7 days before the course. A transfer requested within 7 days of the course, or a second transfer, incurs a NZ$50 fee. A transferred booking must be used within 12 months, and the cancellation terms above apply to it from the date of the new course.
Illness and emergencies
If illness, injury or a genuine emergency stops you attending, contact us as soon as you can and we'll do our best to offer a transfer.
This policy doesn't affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
